Crash Test
Crash Test on road safety systems, perimetral safe
Crash Test on road safety systems, perimetral safe
AISICO performs crash tests according to the most widely accepted European and international regulations on all road devices: road safety barriers; crash cushion; transition section; terminals; motorcyclist system; light poles; traffic signs; anti-intrusion barriers.
Railway Impacts
Rail crash tests are intended to verify the behavior of rolling stock in collisions, to evaluate passive safety requirements for rail vehicle bodies, and to obtain experimental data to validate mathematical models developed for final verification of rail devices.
The AISICO Test Center is accredited by the Italian Accreditation Body ACCREDIA (n. 0424L) for the execution of impact tests on energy absorption systems used in the railway field and on entire railway cabins in accordance with EN 15227.

S.T. test – Slip Testing; Launch carts
Small, medium and full scale impact tests to analyze the behavior of more or less complex structural elements in the face of impact stress.
Within the railway sector, these tests play a fundamental role in the context of road safety and passive safety, both as a support to design and as a verification tool of existing innovative solutions that are no longer considered in line with current performance standards. They are performed both on single elements and on portions of devices to be tested.

Inspection of bridges and viaducts
Census and visual and photogrammetric inspections using bridge inspectors and APR according to the multi-level approach of the italian MIT/Mims Guidelines.
Modelling and three-dimensional reconstruction through the processing of images acquired with APR and realization of a 3D digital twin model of the work inspected, faithful to reality, scalable, measurable and geo-referenced, subsequently analyzed by PC.

Functional register of safety barriers
AISICO, which for over thirty years has been engaged in study and research to make roads and infrastructure safer and more reliable, has developed a procedure called the ‘functional register of barriers’ to establish an objective correlation between the actual danger of the road and the actual functionality of the safety barriers.
The functional register of barriers makes it possible to plan the correct maintenance or adaptation of existing safety barriers.

T.H.O.R. Testing Head Over Road
T.H.O.R. tests the interaction between the barrier post and the ground in which the barrier is installed, to ensure proper operation and that, in the event of a vehicle spillage from the roadside, the system installed on-site behaves similarly to a full-scale crash test.
The evolution of T.H.O.R. led in 2020 to have an instrumentation that uses a pneumatic propulsion system.

Laboratory and acoustic tests
Characterization tests of building materials and weathering response, fatigue tests on components and products, acoustic and mechanical tests of anti-noise systems, including Adrienne.
Created to support testing and research activities, the laboratory operates in accordance with UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 and is accredited, for the most significant tests, by Accredia (certificate no. 0424L).
