Asura Technologies is the developer of easy to integrate, camera-vendor independent video analytics and license plate recognition software implementing AI for parking, security and traffic systems. We design, program and integrate our smart city applications to best fit our partners’ needs. We rolled out with our first product, the Asura Recognition Unit (ARU) LPR system in 2017 later earning a Special Mention at the 2018 Intertraffic Innovation Awards.

Vehicle Make and Model Recognition (MMR) is an AI-based video analytics module, usually used in parallel with ARU ALPR. MMR recognizes over 1000 vehicle models worldwide and is constantly learning to keep up to date with new models.

The software checks whether a parking vehicle within the boundaries of a designated zone exceeds the parking time limit. The check is based on license plate reading – if a license plate is read within the same parking zone exceeding the free parking time limit, it sends an alert to the operator and indicates the violation in the database entry of the given vehicle.
