Nedap’s long-range RFID readers TRANSIT part of optimal AVI solution Heron Bros.

To facilitate smooth but secured access for trucks and passenger cars, the headquarters (HQ) of Heron Bros. recently upgraded their parking garage and access control process. Nedap’s RFID TRANSIT readers are integrated into Nortech’s Norpass3 access control software, resulting in fast access for authorized employees in passenger cars and truck drivers.

Secure and barrierless parking with Nedap's ANPR Lumo in Estonia

Viru Keskus and Finest Business & Parking House are known parking houses located in the capital city of Estonia: Tallinn. Because both parking houses have spaces for residents and are near located at many shops and cafes, hundreds of vehicles drive in and out every day. To avoid queues at the barrier and to know who is driving in and out, the parking operator Ühisteenused AS was looking for an innovative and cost-effective solution for both parking houses. Nedap’s ANPR Lumo cameras were chosen because of it’s high accuracy. With this solution, vehicles are automatically identified based on their license plate resulting in easy, safe and barrierless parking. N.W.T Solutions OÜ integrated Nedap’s ANPR Lumo and the parking operating software of Ühisteenused AS.

Nedap and Schweers strengthen partnership for intelligent parking

Nedap, leading specialist in vehicle detection and identification technology, and the German based group Schweers, international provider of tools for professional law enforcement, have announced that Schweers has integrated SENSIT wireless parking sensors to optimize the parking enforcement process. SENSIT, developed by Nedap, consists of wireless parking sensors which detect in real-time whether or not a single parking bay is occupied and how long it has been occupied. The integration with the Schweers Politess system is in line with Pay-by-Space system integrations where payment per space is compared with the actual parking duration per space.

Socinfo Foundation awards Pozuelo Smart City project with Nedap sensors

Recently, the Pozuelo Smart City project won the Smart Cities 2015 Award granted by the Socinfo Foundation and the magazine “Sociedad de la Información". The city was awarded for the project that consists of four integrated systems: smart irrigation, street lighting, energy efficiency and smart parking. Nedap’s parking sensors play an important part in the latter system.

The uPASS Reach is a UHF RFID reader for long-range vehicle identification. Based passive UHF technology (± 900 MHz), vehicles are identified up to 5 meters (16,4 feet). The uPASS Reach complies with the ISO18000-6C and EPC global Gen 2 directive.
